Job summary

TemPositions Group of Companies is seeking contract Hearing Representatives for the special education claims process. You will represent the agency throughout intake, hearings, and settlements in a remote, high-volume environment.

Required is an active bar license, at least 1 year of litigation experience, and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual tools. The role requires flexibility for early hearings and ETZ hours, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Active bar license in good standing in any U.S. state.
• Minimum of 1+ years of recent litigation experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable with virtual tools.
• Ability to log activities in 15-minute increments during the workday.
• Willingness to work within Eastern Time Zone hours (7 AM–7 PM).
• Experience in Administrative Law or IEP/Special Education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Case Management: manage a high-volume caseload of 100–200 claims.
• Representation: prepare for and/or litigate complex cases at hearings and settlements.
• Administrative Process: navigate federal and state education laws and regulations.
• Documentation: prepare filings, agreements, and reports accurately.
• Settlement Negotiation: negotiate claims and attorney’s fees with parents and counsel.
• Training and Collaboration: collaborate with specialists and attorneys; provide training.
• Research and Compliance: analyze case law, gather evidence, and evaluate settlements.
