Job summary

H2 Health is seeking a detail-oriented Payment Posting Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle Management team. This fully remote role supports national operations, ensuring accurate posting of insurance and patient payments and timely resolution of discrepancies.

You will process ERA/EFT, review adjustments, and reconcile batches while collaborating with Billing, AR, and Finance. Strong Excel skills, HIPAA knowledge, and 2+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare payment posting or revenue cycle experience.
• Experience with ERA/EFT processing and cash reconciliation.
• Working knowledge of insurance payments and EOBs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and billing systems.
• Ability to research and resolve payment discrepancies with accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Post insurance and patient payments accurately and efficiently (electronic and manual).
• Process ERA, EFT, and lockbox payments.
• Review and post contractual adjustments, denials, refunds, and write-offs.
• Reconcile daily payment batches with deposits and remittance information.
• Identify and resolve posting discrepancies and unapplied payments.
• Research payment issues using payer portals, clearinghouses, and internal systems.
• Collaborate with Billing, AR, and Finance to resolve payment-related issues.
• Maintain accurate payment records and meet productivity standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve payment posting workflows.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and adherence to company policies.
