Omega Healthcare Management Services is seeking a detail-oriented payments specialist to review and post patient payments. You will work with ERA, checks, and card payments, posting to patient accounts and resolving discrepancies.

The role involves collaborating with insurers and patients to clear inquiries and disputes, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and company policies. Familiarity with billing software and Microsoft Office is required.

Qualificações

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in payment posting, insurance claim processing, and billing practices.
• Familiarity with ERA, checks, credit cards, and online payment systems.
• Proficient in using billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School diploma or equivalent; healthcare administration education is a plus.
• Customer service or call center experience in healthcare preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Review and reconcile ERA files, checks, credit card transactions, and other payments.
• Post payments to patient accounts using billing software and database.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues with posted payments.
• Collaborate with insurers and patients to resolve payment inquiries or disputes.
• Process credit balance refunds per company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of all payment transactions and documentation.
• Stay current with reimbursement practices, regulations, and HIPAA requirements.
• Provide timely customer service for payment-related inquiries and requests.
