Job summary
US Heart and Vascular is seeking a Remote Payment Posting Representative to accurately record and reconcile payments from patients, insurers, and third-party payers. The role emphasizes detail orientation, financial acumen, and strong knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes.
You will post payments daily, verify information, resolve discrepancies, and ensure correct routing of denied claims within the EMR system, supporting monthly reconciliation and system troubleshooting as
Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare payment posting and posting payments daily.
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS codes and HIPAA regulations.
- Familiarity with AR and revenue cycle management processes.
- Experience with checks, EFTs, credit card payments, and ERA files.
Responsibilities
- Post payments daily as assigned and review incoming payments.
- Verify accuracy of payment amounts, patient and insurance details.
- Identify discrepancies and escalate to appropriate staff.
- Apply adjustments for deductibles, co-pays, or contractual adjustments.
- Route denied claims to correct EMR work queues and reconcile batches.
- Assist troubleshooting of system issues affecting cash posting.
