Job summary

WellBeam is seeking a senior Integration Platform Architect to own the interoperability platform’s technical architecture and define scalable integration patterns across HL7v2, FHIR APIs, SMART on FHIR, REST, XML, and more.

You will partner with product, delivery, and customer teams to balance customer requirements with long‑term platform strategy, drive architecture reviews, and mentor engineers on best practices in healthcare interoperability.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering, solutions architecture, or healthcare interoperability experience.
5+ years designing and delivering enterprise healthcare integrations.
Deep expertise with HL7v2, FHIR APIs, SMART on FHIR, REST APIs, XML, and flat-file integrations.
Experience integrating with enterprise EMRs such as Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), Athenahealth, Homecare Homebase, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of healthcare data mapping, transformation, validation, patient identity matching, and interoperability workflows.

Responsibilities

Own the technical architecture of WellBeam’s interoperability platform and design scalable integration patterns.
Lead technical discovery workshops and serve as principal technical advisor during customer engagements.
Produce architecture designs, diagrams, and implementation strategies; review statements of work from a technical perspective.
Mentor engineers on integration best practices and lead architecture reviews across squads.
Drive interoperability strategy and build reusable platform capabilities.
