Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a remote Healthcare Pricing Analyst to support network strategy, pricing models, and cost trend analysis. You will partner with contracting, finance, actuarial, and market teams to evaluate pricing impacts and drive data-informed decisions.

The role offers flexible remote work across the U.S. The position requires 2+ years in healthcare pricing/analytics, advanced Excel skills, and strong quantitative capabilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of analytical experience in healthcare pricing, managed care, provider reimbursement, network contracting, finance, or healthcare analytics
• 2+ years of experience working with healthcare claims and reimbursement methodologies
• 2+ years of advanced Excel proficiency including pivot tables, formulas, and financial modeling
• Proven analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of provider payment methodologies (FFS, DRG, APC, percent of billed charges, Medicare-based reimbursement, value-based models)
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work across cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Analyze provider reimbursement, pricing model development, and financial impact for network strategy and negotiations
• Track unit costs and reimbursement changes, align with negotiation outcomes
• Analyze large healthcare datasets for cost, utilization, and market trends
• Develop SQL queries, analytical models, dashboards, and automated reporting tools
• Ensure methodologies are accurate, transparent, and statistically sound
• Support cost containment, network optimization, and operational improvement initiatives
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams
• Standardize repeatable processes to promote scalability
