Job summary

UnitedHealthcare At Home is seeking a Healthcare Economics Consultant to work remotely across the United States. The role focuses on translating healthcare data into actionable insights, developing analytics, and supporting enterprise performance measures.

You will design queries, build dashboards, and collaborate with business partners to translate requirements into analytical solutions, applying data governance and quality practices. Strong communication and learning aptitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field such as data science, analytics, math, economics, business, statistics, engineering, or finance.
• 3+ years translating complex analysis into clear recommendations for leadership.
• 3+ years using SQL or an alternative to extract, transform, analyze, and report on complex data (e.g., Databricks).
• 3+ years analyzing healthcare, financial, operational, or business performance data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to completion by contributing to database creation, statistical modeling, and financial reports.
• Develop, monitor, and improve key performance metrics to support business decision-making.
• Design and develop data queries and programs using SQL, Python, and enterprise data platforms (e.g., Oracle, Snowflake).
• Build reporting solutions, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with partners to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
• Apply data quality and governance practices to ensure data integrity.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and provide consultative recommendations.
• Present findings and updates in a leadership-ready format.
