Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Manager in our network contracting team. You will guide the development and support of Provider Networks as well as unit cost management through financial and network pricing modeling, analysis, and reporting.

This role is designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to shape how networks deliver value. If you are located in WA, OR, or MT and comfortable with Pacific Time work hours, you may work remote with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a network management-related role (contracting or provider services).
• 3+ years in fee schedule development using actuarial models.
• 3+ years of using financial models to negotiate rates with providers.
• 3+ years of performing network adequacy analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of Medicare RBRVS.
• Intermediate knowledge of claims processing systems and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage unit cost budgets, target setting, performance reporting and associated financial models.
• Guide development of geographically competitive networks that achieve unit cost objectives.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts in compliance with templates and reimbursement structure standards.
• Ensure network composition includes appropriate distribution of provider specialties.
• Provide explanations and information to others on difficult issues.
• Coach, provide feedback and guide others.
