Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year in healthcare customer service or administrative support.
• Proficiency with EMR platforms (Epic, AthenaHealth, Cerner) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls, emails, and chats from patients regarding appointments, insurance, billing, and general inquiries.
• Schedule and reschedule patient appointments using an EMR system.
• Verify insurance information and assist with pre-authorizations when necessary.
• Handle patient billing inquiries and guide them through payment options.
• Escalate complex concerns to appropriate departments while maintaining a warm, professional tone.
• Ensure patient data is handled in accordance with HIPAA standards and document interactions in real time.
