Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus is seeking a Patient Contact Center specialist to contact patients, guarantors, and insurers on outstanding balances, using inbound and outbound calls to resolve accounts and arrange payments.

The role requires a High School diploma, strong data entry, negotiation and interpersonal skills, and familiarity with Fair Debt Collections Practices. Day shift, 40 hours weekly, on-site in Ohio.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• Familiarity with computer systems and data entry.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Minimum two years customer service or collections experience; six months in a call center.

Responsibilities

• Make inbound calls to patients/guarantors about account balances and answer questions.
• Make outbound calls to collect on balances and negotiate payment arrangements per policy.
• Screen for insurance, financial aid opportunities, and document account updates.
• Make recommendations for manual charge-offs based on criteria.
• Maintain quality and productivity in a high‑reliability organization.
