Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Payment Policy Research Analyst & Technical Writer in Virginia Beach. You will identify, develop and present policy-related medical cost savings opportunities for Sentara Health Plan, using data insights and collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.

You will assess opportunities, propose strategies, and support growth within payment policies while ensuring alignment with SHP goals. Remote work options may be available depending on needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in health plans or medical coding.
• CPC certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor level degree preferred in healthcare or related field.

Responsibilities

• Research and assess internal payment policies and solutions to identify cost savings.
• Determine strategies such as policy development, criteria and process changes.
• Conduct analytical work to support opportunity development.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to define and deliver payment initiatives.
• Influence leadership to adopt new ideas and products.
