Sentara Health in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Payment Policy Research Analyst & Technical Writer to identify, develop and present new policy-related medical cost savings opportunities for Sentara Health Plan (SHP). You will use data insights, industry trends, and input from subject matter experts to drive savings through policy development and deployment.
The role requires CPC certification, 3 years in health plans or medical coding, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Competenze
- Experience presenting, collaborating & consulting with a variety of stakeholders or clients across multiple functional areas
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects & meet tight delivery timelines
- Intermediate computer skills with Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook with minimal supervision
Mansioni
- Research & assessment of internal payment policies & payment solutions to identify new cost savings opportunities
- Determine potential strategies to achieve identified cost savings such as policy development or enhancement, authorization criteria & process improvements
- Participate in analytical, investigative & fact-finding work in support of opportunity development
- Establish relationships with stakeholders to define, align & deliver payment initiatives & policy development
- Influence leadership to adopt new ideas, approaches & products
