Job summary
Sentara Health is seeking a Payment Policy Research Analyst and Technical Writer in Virginia Beach, VA. You will identify, develop, and present policy-related medical cost savings opportunities for Sentara Health Plan, leveraging data insights and input from subject matter experts to drive growth in core payment/reimbursement policies.
You will build relationships across internal and external stakeholders, assess opportunities, and deliver savings through policy development and deployment, with
Qualifications
- 3 years Health plan experience or 3 years Medical coding, required.
- CPC certification within first 6 months of hire.
- BS/BA/Advanced degree in health care or medical field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Research & assessment of internal payment policies & payment solutions to identify new cost savings opportunities.
- Determine strategies/solutions to achieve identified cost savings (policy development, criteria & process, contract strategy, claims editing).
- Participate in analytical, investigative & other fact-finding work for opportunity development.
- Establish relationships with stakeholders to define, align & deliver payment initiatives & policy development.
- Influence leadership to adopt new ideas, approaches & products.
