Healthcare Management Administrators, Inc. (HMA) is seeking an Account Manager to serve as the trusted partner for clients and brokers, guiding self‑funded health plans and optimizing strategies.

You will manage renewals, develop account plans, and drive retention and growth while coordinating with cross‑functional teams to deliver outcomes. You will engage with client business leaders, monitor plan performance, and provide consultative recommendations tailored to workforce needs.

Qualifications

• BA degree in healthcare field or related; preferred.
• 1–2 years in the health insurance industry.
• 1–2 years working directly with clients/brokers.
• 2 years of account management experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ERISA, Benefit Plan Management, Self-funded plans.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary strategic relationship owner for assigned client and broker partners.
• Lead development and execution of account strategies focused on retention and growth.
• Own renewal strategy and process for assigned accounts and coordinate deliverables.
• Conduct regular client business reviews using plan performance data.
• Develop understanding of client business objectives to provide tailored recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to introduce additional HMA products and services.
• Represent Client Success through the sales-to-implementation lifecycle.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve complex client issues and align priorities.
• Monitor health of accounts and communicate risks and mitigations.
• Maintain CRM documentation for client interactions, opportunities, risks, and commitments.
