Job summary

California Institute of Applied Technology (CIAT) is hiring an Health Information Management & Technology Instructor to deliver synchronous online courses from a home-based setup. You will plan, organize, and adjust instruction to meet diverse student needs while using Microsoft Teams for live classes.

Current industry certifications in the taught subjects are expected. The role requires a Bachelor’s in HIM or related field, RHIA certification, and about three years of experience in the domain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• RHIA certification required.
• RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CDIP, CHDA, or CHPS preferred.
• Minimum of three years' experience in the field.
• Ability to deliver synchronous online instruction.

Responsibilities

• Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize learning and engagement.
• Adapt instructional methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Communicate subject matter effectively in a synchronous online format.
• Maintain current certifications in taught subjects.
