Job summary

California Institute of Applied Technology (CIAT) seeks an Health Information Management & Technology Instructor to empower student success through online teaching and practical training. The role is fully remote and involves delivering synchronous courses via Microsoft Teams and collaborating with the Dean of Healthcare.

Required: Bachelor's degree, RHIA certification, and at least three years in the field; online teaching experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Health Sciences, or Healthcare Administration.
• RHIA certification required; RHIT/CCS/CCS-P/CHDA/CHPS preferred.
• At least three years of experience in the field.
• Experience teaching online is preferred.
• Proven ability to deliver engaging lessons and adapt to diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement.
• Modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Communicate subject matter effectively in an online format.
• Maintain current knowledge in the field and accreditation requirements.
