California Institute of Applied Technology (CIAT) is seeking educators and professionals with a passion for mentoring others. This remote, variable-hour role supports synchronous online classes via Microsoft Teams, with evenings and weekends scheduled based on the course offerings.

Ideal candidates hold IT certifications (CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, CISSP, AWS, Azure, etc.), have at least one year of teaching/training experience, and can develop engaging online content while ensuring

Qualifications

• Appropriate IT certifications listed in the job requirements (CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, ISC2 CISSP, AWS, Azure, etc).
• Minimum of one year of experience in a training setting, ideally IT certification bootcamps.
• Advanced subject matter expertise preferred and synchronous online teaching experience preferred.
• Experience in curriculum development and instructional design for IT certification bootcamps.
• Familiarity with CertMaster, TestOut, or similar training tools.

Responsibilities

• Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams.
• Schedule evenings and weekends as per course timetable.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize learning and engagement.
• Align instruction with CIAT’s adult learner framework and certification readiness.
• Maintain current certifications in the taught subjects.
