Qualifications

• 3 years of professional HIM, Coding, or Revenue Cycle experience
• RHIA or RHIT preferred
• Coding certification (CCS, CCS-P, CPC, COC, CIC) required
• Experience teaching online is a plus
• Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs

Responsibilities

• Instruct assigned courses within the designated program
• Host bi-weekly live sessions via Zoom in each course
• Maintain a flexible schedule with office hours and 1:1 meetings for students
• Provide timely feedback on quizzes, tests, homework, and projects
• Outreach to increase engagement with at‑risk students
• Maintain accurate records and submit final grades per university policy
• Participate in meetings, training, and professional development
• Stay current with developments in instructional responsibility
• Perform other duties as required by faculty policy
