Job summary

California Institute of Applied Technology (CIAT) is seeking Information Technology Instructors to deliver synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams on evenings, primarily Monday and Tuesday. You will plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning, and adapt methods to meet diverse needs while keeping current in the field.

The role is part-time, non-exempt, and remote with work performed from California, New Mexico, Florida or Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• Official transcripts of bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• At least three years’ experience in the respective field or two years of teaching experience.
• Synchronous online teaching experience preferred.
• Advanced subject matter expertise with ongoing professional development.
• Effective presentation skills and strong communication ability.
• Proficiency with MS Office and learning technologies like Canvas.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and multitask.
• Strong collaboration with colleagues and administration to support student success.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement.
• Modify instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Deliver synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams on scheduled evenings.
• Ensure current certifications in subjects taught and maintain documentation.
• Promote collaboration with staff and participate in new projects and ideas.
