UW Health seeks a Health Information Access Specialist - Advance Directives to review and process advance directives and information-sharing authorizations within the EHR. The role involves scanning documents, flagging clinician alerts, and ensuring compliance in a 100% FTE remote schedule.

The position requires EMR experience (EPIC preferred) and strong communication skills to support internal and external callers, with benefits including health insurance and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required, but a high school diploma preferred.
• Associate's degree in HIM/HIT or related discipline preferred.
• Experience with release of information activities and patient access is valued.

Responsabilités

• Review advance directives, approve/reject, and document in EHR with FYI flags.
• Review verbal and information-sharing authorizations and update alerts in the system.
• Provide telephone support to internal and external callers (staff, doctors, patients, social work).
