Pearson is hiring for remote scoring roles in the United States. The Associate, Scoring Services position offers part-time work with training prior to scoring and a starting rate of $17.50 per hour.

Scorers evaluate responses, follow scoring standards, and join discussions to reach consensus. Eligible candidates include educators or those with content-area degrees and recent related work, including active or recently retired practitioners.

Qualifications

• Be an educator from colleges or universities or hold a degree in the content area with recent relevant employment.
• Active or recently retired practitioners are eligible to score.
• Must be able to work in the United States and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by New York teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring activities.
• Discuss bias types and strategies to reduce bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass a qualifying test.
