Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent with formal training.
• At least five (5) years of directly related restaurant cooking experience.
• Instruct and train others; handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification on hire.
• Pass pre-employment requirements including drug test, fitness and hearing tests.
• Must cooperate in a team and be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must stand for 12 hours per shift and live in remote camp dormitories.
• English reading/writing/speaking required; safety guidelines followed.

Responsibilities

• Select/Develop recipes based on type of food and apply knowledge.
• Prepare, cook, and serve meats, sauces, vegetables, soups and other foods.
• Carve meats; monitor cleanliness and sanitation of work areas.
• Maintain safety culture and coordinate safety trainings.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Supervise up to 30 on-site staff in a remote camp setting.
