Job summary

Paylocity, a cloud-based HR and payroll software provider, seeks a Sales professional in Detroit territory. You will prospect, develop client relationships, and close deals with medium-sized businesses (49-499 employees) in a quota-driven environment. This role is fully remote within the U.S.

with a Detroit territory focus and reports to the Director of Sales. Responsibilities include generating net-new opportunities, presenting services, managing proposals, and coordinating with internal teams

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree strongly desired.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a sales position.
• Ability to succeed in a competitive environment.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Generate net-new business opportunities, leveraging the company’s expertise and industry profile.
• Schedule and present Paylocity services with prospective clients.
• Prepare and present proposals and provide follow-up throughout the sales process.
• Organize, complete and obtain documentation for clients to move to Paylocity system.
• Work with internal departments to ensure smooth client transitions.
• Develop prospects through telemarketing, referrals, and personal contacts.
• Build and maintain relationships within the Broker channel and other referrals.
• Maintain contact with existing customers to identify needs for additional services.
• Attend trade shows and conferences to promote Paylocity services.
• Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas for the territory.
