Job summary

Paylocity is a leading provider of cloud-based HR and payroll software, seeking a proactive Sales professional to develop business relationships, close new and expanded agreements, and target mid-market clients (49–499 employees) within a Pittsburgh territory.

The role emphasizes a consultative sales approach, independent activity generation, and meeting quarterly and annual quotas in a fast-paced environment with remote work options within the U.S.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; college degree strongly desired.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a sales position.
• Ability to succeed in a competitive environment.
• Ability to maintain high activity standards.
• Proven track record of sales success.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and the Internet.

Responsibilities

• Generate net-new business opportunities.
• Schedule and present Paylocity services with prospective clients.
• Prepare and present proposals and follow-up throughout the sales process.
• Manage documentation for client onboarding to Paylocity systems.
• Collaborate with internal departments for smooth client transitions.
• Develop prospects via telemarketing, referrals, and networks.
• Build relationships within broker channels and referral sources.
• Maintain contact with existing customers to identify new needs.
• Attend trade shows and events to promote Paylocity.
