Job summary

Paylocity, a leader in cloud-based HR and payroll software, seeks an HCM Account Executive to prospect, develop client relationships and close new and expanded sales with medium-sized businesses (49-499 employees). Remote, US-only; five days per week availability is required.

You will generate net-new opportunities, present Paylocity services, and manage the full sales cycle with a consultative approach to exceed quotas and deliver results.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; college degree strongly desired.
• 3–5 years in a sales position with proven sales success.
• Ability to succeed in a competitive environment and maintain high activity levels.
• Strong presentation, communication, and time management skills.
• Customer service orientation and ability to handle objections.

Responsibilities

• Generate net-new business opportunities consistently.
• Schedule and present Paylocity services to prospects.
• Prepare and present proposals with follow-up throughout the sales process.
• Gather required documentation for clients to move to Paylocity.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth client transitions.
• Develop prospects via telemarketing, referrals, and networks.
• Build relationships within Broker channels and referral sources.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers to identify additional needs.
• Attend trade shows and events to promote Paylocity.
• Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas.
