Job summary

Datavant is seeking a dedicated HCC Auditor to ensure accurate coding representations for risk adjustment and reimbursement. You will translate clinical documentation into precise codes reflecting patient health status and verify the accuracy of the work.

Responsibilities include auditing charts, adapting to varying client guidelines, maintaining high quality, and participating in regular review meetings. A fast-paced environment and remote work setup are supported.

Qualifications

• 2 years' HCC Coding experience.
• 2 years' HCC Auditing experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• AHIMA credentials (RHIA/RHIT/CCS) or AAPC credentials (CPC/CPC-H/COC/CIC/CRC).
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, pharmacology and disease processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high quality.
• Must follow instructions, meet deadlines and work independently.
• Flexible in work environment and able to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Audit coded charts per client guidelines.
• Move between different client guideline sets with ease.
• Maintain a 95% quality average at the diagnosis level.
• Respond to rebuttals from coders/auditors.
• Participate in weekly coding project review meetings.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the quality supervisor.
