Job summary

Datavant is seeking an HCC Auditor to review medical records coded in ICD-10, ensuring accurate representation of patient conditions for risk adjustment and reimbursement. You will translate clinical documentation into precise codes, and verify the accuracy of this work.

In this role, you will audit charts, adapt to various client guidelines, maintain a 95% quality standard at the diagnosis level, answer rebuttals, and participate in weekly review meetings while supporting a fast-paced remote

Qualifications

• 2 years' HCC Coding experience.
• 2 years' HCC Auditing experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10.
• High school diploma or GED.
• AHIMA or AAPC credentials (RHIA/RHIT/CCS) or CPC/CPC-H/COC/CRC.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with high quality.

Responsibilities

• Audit coded charts per client guidelines.
• Adapt to different client guideline sets.
• Maintain a 95% quality average at diagnosis level.
• Respond to rebuttals by coders or auditors.
• Participate in weekly coding project review meetings.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by quality supervisor.
