Job summary

Datavant is seeking an HCC Auditor to review medical records coded in ICD-10, ensuring accurate reflection of patient conditions for risk adjustment and reimbursement. You will translate clinical documentation into precise codes and verify accuracy of work.

The role requires 2 years of HCC coding and auditing experience, with AHIMA or AAPC credentials preferred. You will work in a fast-paced environment with potential remote flexibility and participate in weekly review meetings.

Qualifications

• 2 years' HCC Coding experience.
• 2 years' HCC Auditing experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• AHIMA or AAPC certified credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC or CRC).
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, pharmacology, and disease processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Audit coded charts per client guidelines.
• Move between different client guideline sets with ease.
• Maintain a 95% quality average at a diagnosis level.
• Respond to rebuttals from coders and auditors.
• Participate in weekly coding project review meetings.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the quality supervisor.
