Job summary

Datavant is seeking an experienced HCC Auditor to review coded medical records and ensure accurate risk adjustment coding for reimbursement. You will translate clinical documentation into precise codes reflecting patient health status and confirm accuracy of work.

This role supports a fast-paced, remote environment with strong attention to quality and timely delivery. The position requires 2 years of HCC coding and auditing experience, extensive ICD-10 knowledge, and relevant credentials.

Qualifications

• 2 years' HCC Coding experience
• 2 years' HCC Auditing experience
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• AHIMA or AAPC professional credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, CPC-H, COC, CRC)
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, pharmacology, and disease processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high quality
• Must be able to follow instructions, meet deadlines and work independently
• Ability to be flexible in a remote work environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a remote environment and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Audit coded charts assigned by quality supervisor per client guidelines
• Navigate from different sets of client guidelines with minimal difficulty
• Maintain a 95% quality average at a diagnosis level
• Answer rebuttals entered on the auditor by coders and/or auditors
• Participate in weekly coding project review meetings
• Perform any other tasks asked by quality supervisor
