Job summary

Ground News is seeking a Senior Paid Acquisition Manager to own Google ads, YouTube campaigns, and cross-channel paid growth. You will design scalable account architecture, drive spend to capture a larger share of the paid budget, and ensure tight CAC/payback discipline while partnering with product, engineering, and analytics.

The role is remote-first with occasional travel to our Canada HQ. You’ll lead measurement foundations, work with external agencies, and report transparently on

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing Google Ads at scale, ideally in subscription, DTC, or app.
• Proven scaling experience from small to large accounts.
• Hands-on YouTube advertising experience.
• Strong analytical instincts with GA4, spreadsheets, and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Build Google from scratch: account structure, campaigns, naming conventions, and testing frameworks.
• Own the scale path: increase spend while maintaining CAC and subscriber payback.
• Manage Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, and YouTube, including budget allocation and bidding strategy.
• Collaborate with external agencies to build the YouTube creative engine and testing cadence.
• Own Google landing pages and iterate on LPs.
• Build measurement: conversion tracking, Enhanced Conversions, attribution, and reporting.
• Experiment across adjacent paid channels with disciplined testing and attribution.
• Partner with product, engineering, and analytics to ship paid needs.
• Report honestly on performance, even when things aren’t working.
