Job summary

Nelnet’s NextGen portfolio seeks a Group Product Manager to own one or more NextGen solutions end-to-end, shaping vision, strategy, and roadmaps while mentoring a small team of Product Managers. You will collaborate across engineering, design, sales, and client support to deliver impactful releases and drive measurable business outcomes.

You will identify opportunities to connect portfolios, advocate for AI-driven enhancements, and stay abreast of higher education needs to inform the roadmap.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience with shipping products
• 1+ years mentoring or directly managing other PMs
• Experience partnering with go‑to‑market teams to launch complex SaaS products
• Track record shipping AI-enabled or data-driven software with measurable impact
• Ability to align and influence stakeholders across engineering, design, and commercial functions

Responsibilities

• Hands‑On Product Ownership: own one or more NextGen solutions end to end, collaborate with engineering and design to ship
• Team Leadership & Development: mentor a small team of PMs and recruit talent as team expands
• Product Strategy & Execution: own vision, strategy, and roadmap across NextGen portfolio; connect portfolios
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: partner with sales, marketing, implementation, and client support to plan launches and ensure market-readiness
