Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a hands-on Group Product Manager to own NextGen solutions end-to-end, mentor a small PM team, and drive strategy and roadmap across the portfolio. You will collaborate with engineering, design, sales, and client support to plan market-ready releases and maximize value for higher education institutions.

You will identify opportunities to connect solutions, inject AI-enabled capabilities, and stay aligned with industry policy and customer needs to deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in product management with a track record of shipping products.
• 1+ year mentoring or managing other Product Managers.
• Experience launching complex SaaS or platform products with GTM collaboration.
• Proven ability to ship AI-enabled or data-driven software with measurable impact.
• A proven ability to influence stakeholders across engineering, design, and commercial functions.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on ownership of NextGen solutions end-to-end from discovery to ship.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a small PM team with clear expectations.
• Own product vision, strategy, and portfolio roadmap across NextGen.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, implementation, and client support for launches.
