Job summary

Nelnet's NextGen portfolio is seeking an experienced Group Product Manager to own one or more NextGen solutions, guide a small PM team, and drive discovery, requirements, and shipping with engineering and design partners.

You will shape strategy and roadmaps across the portfolio, align across functions, and explore practical AI applications to reduce campus staff workload while delivering value to institutions, students, and families.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience with a track record of shipping products, including 1+ year mentoring PMs.
• Experience partnering with go-to-market teams to launch complex SaaS or platform products.
• Track record of shipping AI-enabled or data-driven software with measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap across the NextGen portfolio; translate goals into a sequenced plan.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of Product Managers with clear expectations and accountability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to plan launches; ensure market readiness and adoption.
