Job summary

YA Group is seeking a Project Specialist to provide administrative and programmatic support through all stages of federal and state grant lifecycles. You will communicate requirements with applicants, analyze proposals, ensure compliance, and coordinate between local, state, and federal levels.

This is a remote role with travel up to 50%, and candidates nationwide are welcome, with Florida and Southern Georgia preferred for current needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • 3 years' work experience required.
  • Located in FL or Southern GA preferred; US-wide applicants welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee mitigation project lifecycle from pre-award to closeout.
  • Review applications, ensuring proper procedures and answering questions.
  • Submit recovery project applications to FEMA for funding.
  • Draft and update project agreements until executed.
  • Monitor projects, review quality reports, process payments, ensure compliance.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize grant data; assist with reporting.
