Job summary

Village Capital is hiring a Business Development Manager for a fully remote, multi-country role (US, Kenya, UK). You will lead prospecting, grant funding, and catalytic investment activities across blended finance and impact investing, owning proposals, collateral, and reporting.

You will drive CRM-driven pipeline management, coordinate cross-functional inputs, and deliver high-quality funder communications and submissions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in proposal development, grant writing, and lead generation.
• Direct exposure to blended finance, impact investors and private philanthropy preferred.
• Independently draft, edit, and submit proposals, concept notes, or similar submissions in response to RFPs/Calls for Proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation, prospecting, and outreach to build a structured BD pipeline.
• Own full drafting cycle for proposals and concept notes; manage submission logistics end-to-end.
• Develop and maintain funder-facing materials (one-pagers, decks, briefing materials).
• Maintain the CRM as the system of record for BD activity and pipeline management.
