Job summary

Vista Hermosa Foundation is seeking a Program Officer for Global Grants to manage international portfolios in East Africa and India. The role reports to the Philanthropy and Social Justice Director and focuses on grant management, learning, and partner engagement.

You will develop and track metrics, foster partnerships, and ensure compliance with grant guidelines while representing the foundation’s values in community-led development.

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional experience in international community development, philanthropy, or related field.
• Experience in international development or grantmaking is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple grants portfolios and meet deadlines.
• Experience working across cultures and willingness to travel internationally (2–3 times/year).

Responsibilities

• Oversee grants management portfolio with guidelines, reviews, disbursement and reporting.
• Prepare funder reports, dashboards and learning briefs for program impact.
• Engage grantees and partners, coordinating site visits and learning events.
• Collaborate with Central Services and Communications to ensure data accuracy and storytelling.
• Support budgeting and grant lifecycle processes from inquiry to evaluation.
• Build new grant partnerships and strengthen existing ones.
