Qualifications

• Four years of experience administering state or federal grant programs, including budgeting, expenditures, and compliance.
• Leadership experience such as managing a team or leading a program with significant time commitment.
• Degree substitutions allowed: Public Health, Public Administration, Public Policy, Healthcare Management, Business Administration or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise the grants unit, including staffing, workflow coordination, budgeting, and performance management.
• Direct federal grant and cooperative agreement activities—application review, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, and compliance.
• Manage a major portfolio of state and federal grant programs, including RFP development, review, contracting, spending oversight, and evaluation.
• Lead development and delivery of technical assistance for rural and safety-net providers, including identifying underserved areas and workforce programs.
• Support statewide rural health strategy through research, policy recommendations, planning, and advisory group participation.
