Job summary

MPCA seeks a Rural Health Transformation Program Specialist in Lansing, MI to support data/interoperability, behavioral health, and workforce initiatives. You will coordinate multiple rural health programs, manage surveys and reporting, and ensure timely contractual and financial processes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Federally Qualified Health Centers, stakeholders, and internal teams to align with rural health priorities and program goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or HS diploma with 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in administration, organization, and project management.
• Knowledge of Michigan rural health needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates the three Rural Health Transformation programs, including project planning, deliverable tracking, timeline management, stakeholder coordination, and program administration.
• Develops surveys for health center applications and progress reports.
• Completes and submits contractual, compliance, and progress reporting requirements to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on time.
• Coordinates payment processes and invoice development.
• Supports the Rural Health Transformation community through Higher Logic, MPCA newsletters, email, and other communication channels.
• Responds to health center questions and coordinate with colleagues to provide timely information and support.
• Identifies technical assistance needs among participating health centers and help coordinate appropriate resources.
• Provides internal coordination between all Rural Health Transformation projects.
