Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an Operations Specialist for its Global Network Operations Center (GNOC) role. The position focuses on rapid detection, triage, and mitigation of outages affecting players and platforms, with ongoing improvements to monitoring and incident response processes.

The role emphasizes collaboration across teams, thorough documentation, and proactive engagement with stakeholders during critical outages.

Qualifications

• Experience in incident detection, triage, and rapid response to outages.
• Ability to tune monitoring signals and reduce noise for better alerts.
• Familiarity with runbooks, procedures, and incident postmortems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor streams and identify incidents; track and escalate as needed.
• Triage issues using systems, networking, and cloud knowledge to improve detection.
• Drive timely resolution for player- and user-impacting incidents.
• Follow up on active incidents to verify progress and closure.
• Coordinate access, ACL, network, and systems maintenance requests.
• Adjust alert triggers to reduce false positives and improve signal quality.
• Document runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and post-incident reviews.
