Qualifications

• J.D. or equivalent law degree required; active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction preferred.
• 15+ years of experience advising on international trade, export controls, economic sanctions, customs, or a related legal and compliance discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in the EAR, ITAR, OFAC sanctions, U.S. customs laws; experience with related non-U.S. regimes preferred.
• Strong understanding of how trade requirements intersect with product development, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, sales, procurement, and commercial transactions.
• Excellent legal judgment and the ability to assess complex, incomplete, or fast-changing facts and provide clear, timely, and actionable recommendations.
• Fluency in English required; additional language skills and experience working across Asia, Europe, or other international regions are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise and counsel leaders on global trade matters affecting products, transactions, supply chain and operations.
• Provide practical advice on export controls, sanctions, customs, and related laws.
• Assess geopolitical developments and communicate risks to senior leadership.
• Support business decisions by identifying trade requirements and risk-based, business-oriented solutions.
• Represent the company in engagements with U.S. and non-U.S. government agencies, regulators, and external stakeholders.
