Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Global Sourcing Manager for a fully remote role serving projects in the renewable energy sector. You will lead global sourcing strategies, identify and qualify new international suppliers, and negotiate complex contracts to achieve savings and quality targets.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in global sourcing/procurement, strong leadership, and expertise with SAP S/4HANA and e-sourcing platforms. Travel for audits/negotiations may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in SCM, International Business, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in global sourcing/procurement, with renewable energy or related sectors.
• Proven global sourcing strategy development and execution.
• Experience in contract negotiation and supplier relationships.
• Strong understanding of global supply chains, logistics and risk management.
• Excellent analytical skills and financial modeling ability.
• Leadership, communication and stakeholder influence across cultures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for renewable energy components and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard international suppliers with focus on quality and sustainability.
• Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and terms with global vendors.
• Manage and optimize a global supplier base, monitor performance and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management and finance to align sourcing with budgets.
• Conduct market intelligence and spend analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and supplier performance.
• Serve as a key contact for strategic supplier relationships and innovation.
