Job summary

S&P Global Market Intelligence seeks a Sales Compensation Analyst – Financial Modelling And Planning to design and run the simulation models that govern incentive spend across the global sales force. The role requires building forecasting models with Python, Excel, and SQL, stress-testing plan structures, and delivering analytics to ground compensation decisions in evidence.

You will develop automated Power BI dashboards for executives, quantify plan effectiveness against ACV and profitability,

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in financial modelling, quantitative compensation analysis, corporate FP&A, or incentive strategy within a multinational organisation.
• Advanced Financial Modelling: Nested logic models, dynamic array models, and Monte Carlo or multi-variable simulations for large-scale forecasting and risk quantification.
• Coding and Automation: Hands-on experience using Python (Pandas/NumPy) or Alteryx for data manipulation and programmatic modelling, with advanced SQL querying across large datasets.
• Power BI Development: Experience building sophisticated data visualisation models for executive-level reporting.
• Strategic Communication: Ability to translate modelling outputs into clear recommendations for senior Finance and Commercial executives.

Responsibilities

• Build and run the simulation and scenario models that govern incentive spend across the global sales force.
• Stress-test plan structures, forecast commission accruals, and deliver predictive analytics to support FP&A alignment.
• Design plan effectiveness metrics linking compensation expense with ACV and profitability.
• Develop Power BI dashboards tracking commission expense ratios and quota attainment for executives.
• Create script-based scenario calculators using Python, SQL, and Alteryx for rapid mid-year adjustments.
• Collaborate with Data Architecture to automate data ingestion from data warehouses.
