Job summary

S&P Global is recruiting a Sales Compensation Analyst to design and run simulation models that govern incentive spend across the global sales force. You will stress-test plan structures, forecast commission accruals, and deliver predictive analytics to align compensation spend with divisional targets.

The role requires advanced modelling, Python/SQL proficiency, and Power BI reporting. You will collaborate with data teams to ensure data quality and drive executive-ready insights for leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial modelling, quantitative compensation analysis, corporate FP&A, or incentive strategy within a multinational organisation.
• Advanced financial modelling with nested logic, dynamic arrays, and Monte Carlo or multi-variable simulations.
• Proficient in Python (Pandas/NumPy) or Alteryx for data manipulation and modelling, plus advanced SQL querying.
• Power BI development with DAX and star-schema for executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Build and run dynamic forecasting models using Python and Excel to simulate compensation expense under variable performance.
• Perform multi-variable stress-testing and sensitivity analyses on compensation structures to forecast risk and identify distortions.
• Design plan effectiveness metrics linking compensation to profitability and ACV, evaluating ROI of incentive programs.
• Develop automated Power BI dashboards to track global commission expense ratios, attainment curves, and KPI trends.
• Create script-based scenario calculators with Python, SQL, and Alteryx for rapid plan adjustments and versioned analyses.
• Collaborate with Data Architecture to automate data ingestion from enterprise warehouses into modelling workspaces.
