Job summary

S&P Global is seeking a Sales Compensation Analyst to design and run models that govern incentive spend across the global sales force, stress-testing plan structures and forecasting commission accruals.

This role requires building dynamic forecasting models with Python and Excel, developing Power BI dashboards, and working with data teams to ensure data quality and actionable insights for Commercial and Finance leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial modelling, quantitative compensation analysis, corporate FP&A, or incentive strategy within a multinational organisation.
• Advanced Financial Modelling: nested logic models, dynamic arrays, Monte Carlo or multi-variable sensitivity simulations.
• Coding and Automation: Python (Pandas/NumPy) or Alteryx, plus advanced SQL across large datasets.
• Power BI Development: executive-level reporting with advanced DAX and star-schema.
• Strategic Communication: translating modelling outputs into clear recommendations for senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Build and run dynamic forecasting models using Python and Excel to simulate compensation expense under varied performance.
• Perform stress-testing and sensitivity analyses on compensation structures to forecast risk and distortions.
• Design plan-effectiveness metrics correlating expense, profitability, and ACV with incentive programs.
• Develop Power BI dashboards tracking expense ratios, attainment curves, and KPI trends for leadership.
• Create script-based calculators with Python/SQL/Alteryx for rapid scenario planning and version control.
• Partner with Data Architecture to automate data ingestion from data warehouses into modelling workspaces.
