Job summary

risr/ is seeking an Events Specialist to own the delivery of our international conferences, exhibitions, community days and webinars. You will coordinate between go-to-market teams, book venues and manage suppliers, timelines, and budgets from start to finish.

You may travel for select UK and international events while maintaining a strong remote-first workflow. You should excel at planning, communications, and post-event analysis within a fast-growing SaaS/education context.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience organising events from start to finish.
• Excellent organisation with multiple events and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail to catch missing forms early.
• Confidence in building relationships with organisers, venues and suppliers across time zones.
• Calm, structured problem-solving when plans change.
• Experience running webinars or online events in Zoom or similar.
• Clear written and spoken English communication.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with others.
• Curious, practical approach to AI integration in workflow.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of risr/ events: international conferences, exhibitions, community days and webinars.
• Book spaces, manage suppliers, track contracts, payments and deadlines.
• Own exhibitor portals, insurance documents, branding and registrations.
• Coordinate on-site services: furniture, AV, catering, shipping and customs.
• Plan venues, manage print materials, registrations and day-of logistics.
• Create event briefs with goals and outcomes; review pre/post-event.
