Job summary

vulncheck is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a globally distributed Rapid Response organization with teams across the US, UK, and APAC. You will balance urgent pre-sales requests, customer escalations, feature requests, and backend maintenance while operating across time zones.

You will manage senior engineers, partner with CS and Sales, and own on-call and incident processes. Strong backend, API, and cloud infrastructure knowledge (AWS) is required, with a track record in cybersecurity

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing software engineers, ideally across distributed or multi-region teams.
• Senior or staff software engineer credibility to engage in technical discussions.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and grow senior engineers across US, UK, and APAC teams.
• Set priorities across urgent pre-sales requests, customer incidents, feature requests, and maintenance work.
• Maintain follow-the-sun coverage for urgent needs across regions.
• Partner with Customer Success and Sales leadership to align engineering work with roadmap.
• Establish and refine on-call, escalation, and incident response processes; maintain code quality and durable fixes.
• Report on team health, throughput, and customer outcomes to leadership.
