Job summary

VulnCheck Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for Rapid Response to diagnose and fix customer issues across the platform, delivering durable solutions and collaborating with Customer Success. This 100% remote role serves a US-wide audience and emphasizes engineering rigor and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and scaling backend systems as a software engineer.
• Experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or threat intelligence.
• Strong programming skills in one or more languages (Python, Go, Java, etc.).
• Strong diagnostic and debugging skills with ability to root-cause complex production issues.
• Curiosity and persistence with a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer-reported issues quickly and thoroughly, from investigation through to a durable fix.
• Diagnose complex, ambiguous problems across services and data pipelines, tracing root cause.
• Deliver high-quality engineering work that improves the platform and addresses customer needs.
• Partner with Customer Success to align on technical solutions and outcomes.
• Maintain and improve backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and uphold engineering best practices.
• Improve system reliability, performance, and observability across the platform.
• Participate in incident response and on-call rotations.
