Job summary

HIMSS is seeking a senior accounting leader to oversee all accounting operations, ensuring a complete and timely financial close. You will set policies, maintain internal controls, and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for audits and filings.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, a bachelor's in accounting, and CPA preferred. You will manage international operations and drive system improvements with NetSuite, Concur, and ADP, while mentoring the finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• CPA preferred.
• MS or MBA preferred.
• Experience leading accounting teams in a structured environment.
• Experience with GAAP and international operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Accounting Department's monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Develop and enforce financial policies to safeguard assets.
• Oversee accounts receivable, including billing and cash application.
• Oversee accounts payable, payroll, and related tax compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax filings.
• Lead system enhancements and third-party integrations (NetSuite, Concur, ADP).
• Provide guidance on accounting policies to executive leadership.
