Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a General Ledger Specialist to support core banking migrations, system cutovers, and operational implementations within the financial services industry.

This position will focus heavily on General Ledger mapping, subledger-to-GL balancing, journal entry verification, account reconciliation, and financial tie-outs throughout mock conversions, testing cycles, and live go-live events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting experience.
• Direct accounting experience in banks, credit unions, or financial institutions.
• Strong GL workflows and chart of accounts knowledge.
• Experience with bank core migrations or system conversions preferred.
• Willingness to travel about 50–60% and work extended hours during cutovers.

Responsibilities

• Support core banking migrations, cutovers, and implementations.
• Map General Ledger and align chart of accounts.
• Perform subledger-to-GL balancing and identify discrepancies.
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with test scripts, mock conversions, and go-live activities.
