Job summary

CCMSI in Chicago, IL is seeking a Multi-Line Claims Supervisor (General Liability) to lead and supervise complex claims, including litigation, and to ensure quality service to clients. You will mentor staff, oversee reserves, negotiate settlements, and coordinate with vendors as needed.

The role requires 8+ years in multi-line claims, 3+ years supervisory experience, and a bachelor’s degree preferred. A strong emphasis on confidentiality, accuracy, and client-focused outcomes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Review, assign and supervise multi-line claim activity to ensure compliance with standards and client instructions.
• Investigate, evaluate and adjust assigned multi-line claims per standards and laws.
• Establish and monitor reserves within authority levels.
• Oversee medical, legal, damage estimates and invoices for reasonableness and relation to claims.
• Authorize and make payments within procedures and authority levels.
• Negotiate settlements within standards and laws when appropriate.
• Supervise designation of outside vendors for claim handling.
• Direct handling of litigated and complex claims.
• Provide education and training to claim staff.
• Maintain diary on claim system and supervise activity for designated accounts.
• Ensure compliance with standards and client instructions.
